The South African Communications minister has announced the appointment of new board members, effective 1 September 2007. The new chair is Dr Hasmukh Gajjar, deputy CEO of Faritec, and an executive of the J&J Group.
Board members include legal experts Preetta Bhagattjee and Mike Silber; Tenet CEO Duncan Martin; Internet Service Providers Association of SA chairman Ant Brooks; and Nirvani Dhevcharran, regional IS manager at SA Breweries.
The board also includes Meraka Institute manager Nhlanhla Mabaso, ISETT SETA chairman Lucky Masilela, and Blindlib chairman William Rowland.
