Webhosting.co.uk topped the Domain Name Journal sales chart in the week ending 28 October, selling for a very nice half million dollars, making it the equal second sale for the year to date in a four way tie for second position behind personalloans.com, which sold for an even nicer $1 million in February.
The sale of webhosting.co.uk was also one of two ccTLD sales in the top three for the week, with pizza.at selling for â¬75,000 ($97,500), and both sales being brokered by Sedo.
Sandwiched in the middle was cognac.com, which sold for $140,000 in a private sale.
Overall ccTLD sales made up six of the top 20, including two .co.uk sales, one .NET sale and the remaining 13 being .COM domains.
Sedo had a good week with 12 of the top 20 sales and three each for DomainNameSales and Afternic.
