Vienna Calling for Domain Pulse 2024: Looking at Where Future Technologies are Leading Us and Domain Industry Updates

The agenda and venue for next edition of the Domain Pulse meeting, to be held in Vienna from 22 to 23 February, have now been released. And registration is now open.

As usual, the largest meeting for the German-speaking domain name industry, will focus on issues relating to domain names with security being the focus of several presentations. Domain Pulse is a collaboration of the Austrian, German and Swiss ccTLD registries who take it in turns to host the event. And in 2024 it is nic.at’s turn.

The agenda for the first day includes a look at future technologies, NIS2 from registry and registrar perspectives and an afternoon keynote titled “Vanishing point cyberspace, social developments and theses” from Prof. Dr. Ayad Al-Ani, a Scientist, Organisational Researcher and Professor. As always, day one will conclude with an evening event.

Topics for presentations for day two of February’s event include .ua Crisis Preparedness, CERT.at update, updates from the domain name industry from nic.at, DENIC and SWITCH and from the registrar perspective from Team Internet, formerly CentralNic. As well as an ICANN update from ICANN’s Christopher Mondini.

Presentations will be in either German or English, but for presentations in German there are no translations into English.
