us: Craigslist hoaxers arrested after house looted

The perpetrators of a hoax online classified ad that led to a man’s house being looted as he watched helplessly have been tracked down and arrested.Police say the incident, far from a malicious joke, stemmed from an attempt by two thieves to cover their tracks from an earlier robbery.Robert Salisbury, from Oregon, came home on March 22 to find about 30 strangers ransacking his house, after married couple Brandon and Amber Herbert posted an ad on Craigslist saying Salisbury had to leave town and no longer needed his belongings.
