Law firm Pinsent Masons is advising universities and mission groups to consider applying for their own gTLD when ICANN starts accepting applications for new gTLDs reports The Times Higher Education.

Pinsent Mason warns the application fee will be high, and suggests £250,000 (US$370,000) as a figure, which is much higher than ICANN’s estimate of $185,000.
