A trio of six-figure domain name sales were uncovered from financial reports and US SEC filings to take the top three positions in the Domain Name Journal Sales chart in the week to 7 October, even though they happened earlier in the year.
The largest of the three sales was challenge.com, selling for an even half million dollars, followed by vi.com that sold for $325,000, both in private sales. The third of the sales was rh.com, which sold for $304,000 through MediaOptions.
And in another six-figure sale, fahrrad.com (bicycle in German) sold for â¬90,000 ($117,000) through Sedo.
As usual, Sedo was responsible for the most sales for the week with eight sales, while the remaining sales were spread out among a number of other outlets.
Also as usual, .COM dominated the chart with the top nine sales and 15 of the top 20, while there was one each for .AT, .EU, .com.au, .IT and .NET.
