Telstra ‘throttle’ to curb 3G mobile bill shock

Telstra will chop connection speeds on customers’ mobile phones once they reach their monthly data allowance in order to curb bill shock.The move comes as customers increasingly take to smartphones such as the Apple iPhone and Google Android based handsets which slurp far more data than simpler phones used mainly for voice calls.To read this report in The Australian in full, see:
