    .UNO Sunrise Commences 15 December

Dot Uno logoDot Latin will begin the sunrise phase for .UNO on Sunday 15 December, 2013. The launch is being organised by Sedo, who was selected to bring the TLD to market.

The .uno gTLD is aimed at the more than 490 million Spanish speakers around the world and the registry hopes that registrants will choose .uno in conjunction with, or even instead of, a .com domain. And that it will become the preferred domain of choice with the Hispanic, Latino, Spanish and Italian markets. And Portuguese too.

The Sunrise period, as is the case for all new gTLDs coming to market, is for those trademark holders that have registered with the Trademark Clearinghouse.

“With a large and digitally-savvy Spanish speaking population around the globe, the potential market for .UNO is immense,” said Tobias Flaitz, CEO of Sedo. “Dot Latin is well positioned to unite that population under the .UNO domain extension, and we’re looking forward to helping them reach that goal.”
