Trio Of Six Figure Sales Top Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoTwo weeks without a six-figure domain name sale, and then there are three in one week on the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 3 April.

Top of the sales heap was debit.com, selling for $170,000 through the Above.com Marketplace followed by Tuscany.com ($157,500 through NameJet/RightOfTheDot) and then 429.com ($138,010 through NameJet).

There were also another two sales (erotica.com for $80,000 and itjobs.de for €58,000 or $66,120) that would have topped last week’s top reported sale.

NameJet, who released all of their completed March sales on one day, had a hand in 12 sales including four with RightOfTheDot while Sedo was responsible for another four.

There were 15 .com sales on the chart, two for .nl and one each for .de, .hn and .org.

Five Six-Figure Domains Top Weekly Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoIt was a big week for domain name sales with five sales topping the $100,000 mark according to the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 28 February. The top sale was tp.com, which sold for a massive $929,000 through NameJet.

Coming in second was clash.com, selling for $250,000 in a private sale, and then lawn.com which sold for $240,000 through RightOfTheDot/NameJet.

The other two sale to make six-figures were totalcare.com and youi.com which sold for $120,000 and $100,000 respectively in private sales.

There were 16 .com sales with four characters or less out of 18 .com sales plus one each for .gl and .net. In the aftermarket outlets, for the first time I have been looking at the chart there were no sales through Sedo. NameJet had a hand in 13 sales, five of which were in conjunction with RightOfTheDot. There were also three sales through Flippa.

Run Of Six-Figure Sales Comes To An End

Domain Name Journal logoIt was shaping up as ten charts in a row for at least one six-figure domain name sale to top the chart. But it came to an end in the week ending 7 February with the top sale going to scripts.com for $87,000 through Zandibot.

And the second and third sales for the week trailed a long way behind with startselect.com and vacationusa.com, selling for €19,000 ($21,660) and $20,000 respectively, and both through Sedo.

After being wiped from the chart last week, Sedo had 12 of the top 21 sales (a tie for 20th place), SnapNames had three and there was two through a RightOfTheDot/NameJet Auction.

On the TLD side of things there were 15 .com sales, four .club sales and one .net sale.

Quartet Of Six-Figure Sales Top Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoFour six-figure domain name sales topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 31 January.

The domains – 417.com, genetics.com, spv.com and penis.com – sold for $169,000, $150,000, $115,000 and $110,000 through NameJet, RightOfTheDot/NameJet, a private sale and RightOfTheDot/NameJet respectively.

It was a big week for RightOfTheDot and NameJet who together had a hand in eight sales together and NameJet was responsible for another 11 sales meaning it was an unusual week in that there were no sales through Sedo.

But on TLD side of things there was normalcy with .com dominating with 17 .com domains and one each for .xyz, .net and .hosting.

NameJet In Partnership With ROTD to Auction Premium Numeric .Asia Domain Names

RIGHToftheDOT logo[news release] NameJet, in partnership with RightOfTheDot, a company specializing in marketing & sales strategy for new gTLDs, and DotAsia, the organization charged with running the .asia top-level domain (TLD), are offering a select group of premium 3-4 digit numeric .asia domain names.

Examples of the domain names being auctioned include: 5678.asia, 889.asia and 797.asia.

Backorders may be placed now and auctions will begin to close on August 18, 2015.

NameJet is a proven leader in the Asian marketplace. In the last year, approximately 20% of visitors to the NameJet auction platform originated from Asia and the amount of NameJet auctions won by Asian bidders is even higher. “We have had great success in the Asian marketplace,” said Jonathan Tenenbaum, General Manager of NameJet, “Plus, numeric domain names are highly prized by our customers, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer these premium .asia domains to them.”

Asia is the Internet’s fastest growing market and there are nearly 250,000 .Asia names already registered to date.

In addition, large corporations are already using their .asia domains such as renowned PR firm Ogilvy with BestofOgilvy.asia and leading entertainment company Live Nation with LiveNation.asia.

With expanding economies and growing access to technology, Asia has one of the world’s largest and fastest growing Internet populations. For example, China currently has more Internet users than any other country, with 600 million people online. However, that number only accounts for 42% of the country’s population, leaving considerable room for growth.

In contrast, many Western nations already have Internet penetration rates higher than 75% percent. This all speaks to the value of the premium .asia domains being listed now on NameJet.
