Goldpay.com Sprinkles A Little Bit Of Gold To Top Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoGoldpay.com topped the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales for the week ending 12 October, selling for a very nice €50,000 ($64,000) in a sale through Sedo.

Freevideos.com came in second, selling for $42,500 through HuntingMoon while fixed.com came in third selling for $40,000 through Sedo. Coming in fourth was a ccTLD sale, shopthehood.ca, which sold for C$39,550 ($35,200) in a sale through ShopCity.

There were 12 .com sales in the top 20 as well as one each for .ca, .org, .net, .tv, .info, .mx, .de and .gp.

Sedo dominated the sales outlets with 14 of the top 20 sales while HuntingMoon had two sales.

Some Weeks Are Bigger Than Others

Domain Name Journal logoFollowing a couple of editions with some six figure sales, and one seven figure sale, the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales was a trifle disappointing in the week to 8 June. The top reported sale was suzies.com, selling for $62,050 through GoDaddy/Afternic. Nice for the seller, but not so exciting for the rest of us!

Coming in second was tolo.com, which sold for $40,250 through MediaOptions and then interracialporn.com, which sold for $24,000 through HuntingMoon.

There were 17 .com sales in the top 20. The other three were one each for .org, .co.uk and .com.br, all in the top eight. While on the aftermarket side of things there were 11 sales through Sedo and six through GoDaddy/Afternic.

Fourth Week In A Row Of Six-Figure Sales Sees Two $200K Sales Top Chart

Domain Name Journal logoHuntingMoon was responsible for two $200,000 sales topping the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 21 April. The two sex-related domains were sexstories.com and asianporn.com, easily eclipsed the third placed domain, struts.com, which sold for $70,000 through DomainHoldings.

Overall Sedo was responsible for the most sales on the chart with seven sales, Afternic had four, as did DomainNameSales, although two were in conjunction with other outlets.

And .com was as usual dominant with 18 sales including the top ten, while there was one each for .nu and .co.uk.

Unit.com Tops Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoUnit.com was the top selling domain name in the week ending 17 March, selling for a very handy $115,000 through Domain Holdings/Zenchi.net.

Second and third spots were taken by another couple of nice sales with medicine.org and liveshow.com selling for $75,000 through Sedo and $40,000 through HuntingMoon respectively.

The IDN domain singlebörse.de was fourth, selling for €30,000 ($38,700) through Sedo.

On the sales channels, Sedo with seven sales lost out on top spot to DomainNameSales who had eight sales, one of which was in conjunction with Domain Holdings. Next was Afternic with three sales.

On the TLD side of things, .com was especially dominant with 18 of the top 20 sales. The two remaining sales were the .org and .de domains above.
