Your Soulmate.com For Only $160,000

Domain Name Journal logoFlippa released a list of previously unreleased domain name sales and top of the list was soulmate.com, which sold for $160,000, and which also topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 22 July.

With the release of the Flippa sales, and a very quiet week for big sales, the aftermarket outlet took out the top 6 sales and 13 of the top 20, while Sedo took out 6.

The second biggest sale on the list was damn.com which sold for $65,000 while oys.com came in third, selling for $28,800.

There were 16 .com sales on the list, 2 for .io and one each for .net and .app.

Huge 3 Letter .COM Sale Tops “Weekly” Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoThe sale of eth.com for $2 million through Sharjil Saleem took out the honours on the Domain Name Journal’s chart of top reported sales for the fortnight ending 22 October. The domain name currently sits in equal second place on the chart for sales in 2017 behind only fly.com for $2.89 million and alongside freedom.com, with both reported in May.

Coming in equal second on the chart for the fortnight was co.net and pack.com, both selling for $100,000 through Aishwin.com and BQDN respectively. Another big sale for the fortnight was combo.com which sold for $90,000 through NewReach. In many weeks each of these domain names would have topped the chart.

On the TLD side of things, .com dominated with 17 sales with one each for .org, .net and .co.nz. On the aftermarket outlets, it was quite a diverse bunch with Sedo and DomainMarket accounting for 5 each and Flippa 3.

MyWorld.Com Tops Weekly Chart in Blockbuster 6-Figure Sale

Domain Name Journal logoThe myworld.com domain name sold for a whopping $1.2 million through GetYourDomain to top the Domain Name Journal weekly chart for the week ending 8 October to become what was then the fifth biggest sale of the year.

The sale has since been topped by eth.com, which is the equal second biggest sale for 2017 to date. Coming in second, in a sale that in many weeks would top the chart itself, was agenda.com, which sold for $225,000 through Buckley Media Group/Flippa while wealth365.com and 365.tv each sold for $60,000 in sales brokered by DomainProducts/Sedo and NameJet respectively.

There were 11 sales through NameJet and another 3 through Sedo while there were 2 each on the chart for Nidoma and Grit Brokerage. On the top level domain side of things there were 15 .com sales, 2 each for .it and .co and one for .tv.

DCC.COM Strikes It For a Big (Northern) Summer Sale

Domain Name Journal logoThe northern hemisphere summer is a quieter time for domain name sales, but one that struck it big was dcc.com, which sold for $198,000 in a private sale, to be the top sale on the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 9 July.

Coming in second and third was strahovka.com (insurance in Russian) and hours.com which sold for $62,000 and $31,000 through YesNames/Efty and Flippa respectively. And what appears to have been bigger, but is unable to be reported, is a one letter .com sale, no doubt at least for 7 figures.

Flippa released to a number of previously unreleased sales and as a result took out 12 of the top 21 (there was a tie for 20th place) sales with 4 to Sedo and DomainMarket 2. On the TLD side of things there were 19 .com sales and one each for .net and .org.

Six-Figure Sales Return on Weekly Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoLast week we noted that after 12 sales charts in a row of 6, and sometimes 7, figure domain name sales, there were none! But in the latest sales chart one returns. In the week ending 9 July, dcc.com was the top reported sale selling for $198,000 in a private sale.

Strahovka.com, or “insurance” in Russian, came in second selling for $62,000 through YesNames/Efty followed by hours.com which sold for $31,000 through Flippa.

Flippa then dominated the chart, taking out 12 of the top 21 (a tie for 20th) while Sedo took out 4 and DomainMarket 2. And on the TLD side of things .com took out 19 of the top 21 sales with one each for .net and .org.

Year’s Third Biggest ccTLD Sale Tops Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoIt’s the third biggest ccTLD sale of the year behind two .co.uk sales, and in the week ending 16 October leaf.co topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales selling for $89,000 through GritBrokerage.

It more than doubled the second biggest sale of the week, a pair of short .com sales, with thb.om and wbg.com selling for $44,000 each through BQDN.

BQDN had four sales on the top 20 chart, positions two to five, but was bested by Sedo with 11 sales and equalled by Flippa. On the TLD side of things there were 16 .com sales and one each for .co, .info, .us and .club.

Couple of Six-Figure Sales Including New gTLD Sale Top Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoA very nice six-figure sale, that of aus.com, topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 14 August, selling for $345,000. The sale had nothing to do with Australia, but was sold to Allied Universal Services in the US.

The second biggest sale for the week was probably more notable though, that of co.ltd, another new gTLD sale, selling for $115,000 by the registry Donuts themselves. Coming in third was mamma.com for $72,999 through Sedo.

Sedo had a hand in ten of the top 20 sales for the week and Flippa four. While on the TLD side of things there were 15 .com sales and one each for .ltd, .tv, .org, .io and .biz.

Quick.com Goes For Big Six-Figure Sale And Tops Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoQuick.com topped the Domain Name Journal chart of reported domain name sales for the week ending 15 May, selling for a very nice $299,000 through Heritage Auctions.

In another six-figure sale, strawberry.com came in second, selling for $160,000 through Booth.com while lvn.com headed a trio of three-figure .com sales coming in third, selling for €50,000 ($56,000) through Sedo.

Sedo had a hand in 12 of the top 22 reported sales for the week (a three-way tie for 20th place) and Flippa five.

There were 17 .com sales and one each for .in, .gr, .pe, .io and .et.

Quick.com Goes For A Cool $299,000 To Top Weekly Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoQuick.com sold for a very nice $299,000 through Heritage Auctions to top the weekly Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales and in doing so became the fifth biggest reported domain name sale for the year to date.

The sale was close to double that of the second place getter for the week ending 15 May, strawberry.com, which sold for a still very nice $160,000 through Booth.com. And third out of six figure territory was lvn.com, which sold for €50,000 ($56,000) through Sedo.

Overall there were 12 Sedo sales on the top 22 (a three-way tie for 20th place), five through Flippa and two through ErwanKina.

And on the TLD side of things, there were 17 .com sales and one each for .in, .gr, .pe, .io and .et.

Large Domain Sales Have A Snooze For A Week

Domain Name Journal logoIt was a bit of a snooze in the latest week for which domain name sales have been tallied by Domain Name Journal with the top sale being firstsport.com for £17,000 ($24,480) through Sedo.

Coming in second and third were aspencolorado.com ($16,751) through Flippa and weinladen.de (€14,500/$16,385) through Sedo in the week ending 17 April.

It made for a diverse list from the TLD side of things with ten .com sales, two for .org and one each for .de, .management, .house, .net, .eu, .vc, .世界 (Chinese for .world), .co and .al.

On the aftermarket side of things, there were 12 through Sedo and four through Flippa.
