1992.com Tops Six Figures in Week’s Biggest Sale

1992.com topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 31 March, selling for $110,000 through eName, beating applegreen.com, which sold for €50,000 ($56,000), and citizenships.com ($40,000), both sold through Sedo.

Sedo was responsible for the sale of 15 of the top 20 domain names on the chart. On the top-level domain side of things, .com also took out 15 of the top 20 sales, while there were 2 for .co and one each for .at, .co.uk and .eu.

Chinese Drive Weekly Sales Charts With Seven Six-Figure Sales

Domain Name Journal logoThere were seven six-figure domain name sales in the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales for the week ending 12 February, all of which were either .cn or .com domains sold in an auction through eName.

The top sale of the week was lb.cn, which sold for CNY1,100,000 ($176,000), followed by one.cn CNY1,004,000 ($160,640) and shop.cn CNY1,002,000 ($160,320).

Following the seven domains sold through eName there were six sales through NameJet, and another two in the top 20 making eight sales for the week. And then there was Sedo with only three sales for the week.

On the TLD side of things there were 14 .com sales, five .cn sales and one .co sale for the week in the top 20 list.
