Sixth Week For Six Figure Sale Topping Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoFor the sixth week in a row a six-figure domain name sale has topped the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales. ReverseMortgages.com topped the chart for the week ending 28 July, selling for $600,000 in a sale brokered by Igloo and DomainNameSales.

Second for the week was another six-figure sale with dji.com selling for $300,000 through Sedo. After this there was a fair bit of daylight, with yuge.com coming in third, selling for $48,000 in a sale brokered solely by DomainNameSales this time.

There were 16 .com sales in the top 20, including the top 11, with three .info sales and one .org and obviously no ccTLD sales.

DomainNameSales had a pretty good week on the charts, with a hand in eight of the top 20 sales including the number one sale, another four for Sedo and three each for Afternic and Flippa.

Body.com Tops Weekly Sales Chart With $380,000 Sale

Domain Name Journal logoSedo and Go Daddy Auctions combined to have the top reported sale in the week ending 14 July according to Domain Name Journal, with body.com selling for $380,000.

DomainNameSales took out second and third position with idtech.com selling for $75,000 and gohunt.com selling for $31,000.

On the sales outlets, Sedo was responsible for nine sales, including the top seller with Go Daddy, while DomainNameSales had eight sales on the chart, with the remaining three going to Afternic.

On the TLD side of things, .com dominated the week with 18 of the top 20 sales including the top 14 while there was one .fr and one .org domain on the chart.

Couple of Six Figure Sales Top Weekly Chart

Domain Name Journal logoIt’s been a good couple of weeks for six figure domain name sales. Last week Trek.com topped the charts in a $245,000 sale, while in the most recent Domain Name Journal sales chart, Brand.com topped the chart in a $500,000 sale brokered by Website Brokerage, which at the time was the biggest reported sale of 2013.

The week ending 7 July also saw a second six figure sale with Surrogate.com selling for $110,000 through DomainNameSales while Fortnite.com came third in a $71,500 sale brokered by Go Daddy Auctions while another 46 domains topped five figures.

Go Daddy Auctions and DomainNameSales both had good weeks on the chart with both having a hand in seven of the top 20 reported sales for the week. Sedo though had a disappointing week with only two sales on the chart, the same as Afternic.

On the TLD side of things, .com was strong as usual with 16 domains, while there were two .org sales and one each for .nl and .de.

Boatsforsale.com Makes Six-Figure Sale To Top Charts

Domain Name Journal logoThree weeks and no six-figure sales, and now one pops up in the week ending 9 June in Domain Name Journal’s list of top reported sales with boatsforsale.com selling for a very tidy $162,500 through DomainNameSales.

The sale easily eclipsed the second-biggest sale, littlefox.com, which sold for $45,000 through Sedo while ductcleaning.com just made it into third place, selling for $40,000 in another sale through DomainNameSales.

DomainNameSales had the most sales on the chart with seven, followed by Sedo and Afternic with five each, the latter having one in conjunction with MostWantedDomains.

On the TLD side of things, there were 17 .com sales in the top 20 while there was one each for .me, .de and .im.

Select.com Tops Weekly Sales Chart In Another Six-Figure Sale

Domain Name Journal logoSelect.com topped the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales in the week ending 12 May, selling for $120,000 in a sale that was part private sale, part brokered by Domain Holdings. The sale marked the seventh week in a row a six-figure sale has topped the charts. The domain name was originally purchased for $10,000.

The next three spots on the chart were closely fought, with a tie between fashionweeks.com and freebackup.com for second place. The domains were sold for $45,000 by OptimoDomains and Afternic respectively. Zoozoo.com came in fourth, selling for $44,000 through DomainNameSales.

From the sales outlets side of things, Sedo had a hand in five sales, but they were easily outdone by DomainNameSales who had a hand in nine sales, while Afternic had a hand in four sales.

And on the TLD side of things, there were 19 .com sales on the chart and the only other in the top 20 was a .org sale.

Fourth Week In A Row Of Six-Figure Sales Sees Two $200K Sales Top Chart

Domain Name Journal logoHuntingMoon was responsible for two $200,000 sales topping the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 21 April. The two sex-related domains were sexstories.com and asianporn.com, easily eclipsed the third placed domain, struts.com, which sold for $70,000 through DomainHoldings.

Overall Sedo was responsible for the most sales on the chart with seven sales, Afternic had four, as did DomainNameSales, although two were in conjunction with other outlets.

And .com was as usual dominant with 18 sales including the top ten, while there was one each for .nu and .co.uk.

Two Six Figure Sales Wake Up Weekly Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoFollowing a week when the top selling domain couldn’t top $30,000, there were two six-figure domain sales in the week ending 3 April according to the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales.

The number domain on the chart was elend.com, which sold for $140,000 through Sedo, while adib.com came in second, selling for $117,000 through Go Daddy Auctions.

Third was schokolade.de, selling for a very tasty €63,000 ($80,640), also through Sedo.

Overall Sedo led the sales outlets, responsible for seven of the top 20 sales, while DomainNameSales was responsible for six with one sale in conjunction with Domain Holdings, and another in conjunction with Go Daddy Auctions, which had another three sales on the chart as did NameJet.

For TLDs, .com was more than its usual dominant self, with 18 of the top 20 sales, with a .biz sale adding to the aforementioned .de sale.

Unit.com Tops Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoUnit.com was the top selling domain name in the week ending 17 March, selling for a very handy $115,000 through Domain Holdings/Zenchi.net.

Second and third spots were taken by another couple of nice sales with medicine.org and liveshow.com selling for $75,000 through Sedo and $40,000 through HuntingMoon respectively.

The IDN domain singlebörse.de was fourth, selling for €30,000 ($38,700) through Sedo.

On the sales channels, Sedo with seven sales lost out on top spot to DomainNameSales who had eight sales, one of which was in conjunction with Domain Holdings. Next was Afternic with three sales.

On the TLD side of things, .com was especially dominant with 18 of the top 20 sales. The two remaining sales were the .org and .de domains above.

Partners.com Tops Weekly Sales In Six-Figure Sale

Domain Name Journal logoFor the fifth sales chart in a row a six-figure sale topped the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales, and also for five of the first six sales charts. Partners.com topped the chart for the week ending 17 February, selling for $125,000 in a sale through Sedo.

Second for the week was banque.com, selling for €68,000 ($91,210), also in a sale through Sedo, marking a good week for the aftermarket sales company who had 12 of the top 20 sales. DomainNameSales was responsible for five sales while Afternic was responsible for the other three.

And as usual, .com took the honours when it comes to TLDs with 13 of the top 20 sales while there were two .org sales and one each for .tv, .net, .it, .ru and .info.

Torrent.com Tops Weekly Sales In Six-Figure Sale

Domain Name Journal logoTorrents.com topped the sales charts for the week ending 20 January, selling for €84,700 ($112,651) through Sedo in a handy sale, almost doubling the sale of the second biggest sale for the week, FXX.com, which sold for $60,000 through DomainNameSales.

In the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales, eatstreet.com came in third, selling for $44,000 through Sedo, who accounted for seven of the top 21 sales for the week. There was a seven-way tie for 15th place!

But Sedo was beaten by DomainNameSales who were responsible for eight sales for the week, including three in conjunction with Domain Advisors, while Afternic was responsible for four sales.

And there were 17 .com sales in the top 21 plus one each for .to, .net, .nu and .de.
