Another 6-Figure DNJ Chart Topper

As the weather cools down in the northern hemisphere, and heats up in the southern, the number of big domain name sales is heating up and for the third “week”, or should it be “chart”, in a row there’s been a 6-figure sale to top the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales. For the fortnight ending 13 October, the biggest sale was sexe.com, which sold for €210,000 ($233,100) through Sedo.

Coming in second and third was cryptoinsurance.com and sudoku.net, which sold for $70,000 and £42,500 ($54,825) through BlockchainNames and Sedo respectively.

On the aftermarket side of things, Uniregistry came out top with 9 sales while Sedo came second with 8 sales. For top-level domains (TLDs) there were 14 .com sales, 2 for .net and one each for .co.uk, .world, .co and .it.

Finally, After 8 Weeks A 6-Figure Domain Sale

For 7 weeks in a row, the top reported domain name sale was below the 6-figure mark, and some weeks not even $50,000 was reached. But finally we have a 6-figure sale with glance.com selling for $160,000 through Sedo top the Domain Name Journal chart for the week ending 22 September.

Coming in second and third was hallow.com and aitimes.com, selling for $70,000 and $46,000 through Uniregistry and Sedo respectively.

Sedo was the top aftermarket outlet with 12 sales while Uniregistry took out the remaining 8. On the top-level domain side of things there were 15 .com sales, 2 for .tw and one each for .help, .org and .es.

No 6-Figure Sales For 7 Weeks In A Row As $70,000 Sale Of Lifeforce.com Tops Weekly Chart

Buyers, and maybe sellers too, have taken a bit of a hiatus at the end of the northern summer with another week going by without a 6-figure domain name sale to top the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales. For the week ending 15 September the top sale was lifeforce.com which sold for $70,000 through DomainsNext.

Coming second and third respectively were empresa.com, which sold for $57,500 through Uniregistry and 0035.com, which sold for $51,000 again through DomainsNext, who had released a previously unreported list of their biggest sales over the past six months.

On the aftermarket side of things, Sedo and Uniregistry came out top with 6 sales each while DomainNext had 3. On the top-level domain side of things, there were 15 .com sales, 2 for .co and one each for .tv, .bio and .uk.

A .ORG Domain Tops Weekly Sales Chart As No 6-Figure Sales For 6 Weeks

The summer hiatus for domain name sales is still underway and for the sixth week in a row there were no domain name sales topping the six-figure mark! In the week ending 8 September the top reported domain name sale was growingpower.org, which sold for $45,999 through SnapNames according to Domain Name Journal.

Coming in second was dynamicinsight.com which sold for $28,500 through DomainMarket while enjoytravel.com, which sold for $25,300 just pipped veggie.com ($25,000), both sold through Uniregistry.

On the aftermarket side of things there were 8 sales through Uniregistry, 6 through NameJet including one in the NameJet/ROTD NamesCon Europe Auction and unusually low 4 sales through Sedo in the top 21 (there was a tie for 20th place).

On the top-level domain side of things there were 18 .com sales, two for .org and one for .net.

Fifth Week In A Row With No Six-Figure Sales!

The end of summer is proving to be a quiet period for big domain name sales. For the fifth week in a row there were no six-figure sales, and for the week ending 1 September not even a sale that topped $50,000 on Domain Name Journal’s chart of top reported sales.

The top reported sale for the week was sadhu.com, which sold for $35,000, while mortgageadvisors.com came in second selling for $30,000, both through Uniregistry, while home.io came in third selling through Sedo.

There were 16 .com domain names on the top 20 list with one each for .io, .tv, .fr and .de. There were 11 sales through Sedo and 8 through Uniregistry.

4 Weeks In A Row Where No Domain Sale Tops 6-Figures

There was no domain name sale that topped the 6-figure mark for the fourth week in a row, but there was a sale that broke $50,000 after 2 weeks of sub-$50K sales. Skew.com topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 25 August, selling for $92,000 through Uniregistry.

Coming next was acetech.com which sold for €75,000 ($83,250) while third was homee.com, selling for $40,000, both through Sedo, while fourth was the new gTLD domain, simple.life, selling for $20,000 through WebQuest/Uniregistry.

Sedo was the most popular aftermarket outlet on the top 20 with 11 sales while Uniregistry had a hand in 8. On the top-level domain side of things, .com had its usual dominance with 14 sales while there were 2 for .co and one each for .life, .uk, .ch and .de.

.ORG Domain Tops Weekly Chart As No Sale Tops $50K For 2 Weeks In A Row

The northern summer holidays have seen some quiet weeks when it comes to the big domain name sales and for the second week in a row no sale has topped the $50,000 mark. The biggest sale for the week ending 8 September on the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales was growingpower.org which sold for $45,999 through SnapNames.

Coming in second and third was dynamicinsight.com, which sold for $28,500, and enjoytravel.com, which sold for $25,300, through DomainMarket and Uniregistry respectively.

Despite not taking out the top spot, .com still dominated the top-level domains with 18 of the top 21 sales – there was a tie for 20th place – while there were 2 .org sales and one for .net.

On the aftermarket side of things there were 8 sales through Uniregistry, 5 through NameJet plus another at the NameJet/ROTD NamesCon Europe Auction, 4 through Sedo and 2 through SnapNames.

Big Domain Sales On Holiday As America Holidays

A lot of Americans were enjoying the end of their summer holidays and the day following the end of the week was their Labor Day, so with this in mind the top reported domain name sale for the week ending 1 September being sadhu.com which sold for a relatively miserly $35,000 through Uniregistry to top the charts was probably not a bad result.

Coming in second and third on the Domain Name Journal chart was mortgageadvisors.com and home.io, which sold for $30,000 and $25,000 through Uniregistry and Sedo respectively.

Sedo had 11 sales on the top 20 chart and Uniregistry 8 with DomainMarket taking out the one remaining sale. On the TLD side of things there were 16 .com sales and one each for .io, .tv, .fr and .de.

Skew.com Tops Weekly Chart, But Doesn’t Top 6 Figures

Skew.com managed to top the Domain Name Journal chart of reported domain name sales for the week ending 25 August, but it didn’t manage to top the six-figure mark, selling for $92,000 through Uniregistry, who are much more regularly appearing on the chart since they’ve started to release sales weekly.

Coming in second and third were acetech.com and homee.com, which sold for €75,000 ($83,250) and $40,000 respectively, both through Sedo.

On the top-level domain side of things, there were 14 .com sales, 2 for .co and one each for .life, .uk, .ch and .de. On the aftermarket side of things, there were 11 sales through Sedo and 8 through Uniregistry, including one with WebQuest.

Joyride.com Heads Brace Of Six-Figure Domain Sales

Joyride.com topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 18 August, selling for $300,000 through Uniregistry, to easily best the second six-figure sale of the week, 4t.com, which sold for $100,000 through Dubai Domains/Afternic while aptum.com wasn’t far off in a $94,888 sale through DomainMarket.

On the top-level domain side of things there were 15 .com sales in the top 20 along with one each for .dev, .ca, .co, .nl and .net. On the aftermarket outlets, Uniregistry had a hand in 8 sales, Sedo 6 and DomainMarket 3.
