Congo_SCPT_logoIn announcement sent to registrars and posted on the website for Congo’s ccTLD registry, the Société Congolaise des Postes et Télécommunications announced that CONIC, Webnet Africa, Mikuba are no more allowed to manage the .CD registry.

The SCPT who had originally awarded the contract for the registry operation of Congo’s country code top level domain have cancelled it due to irregularities in the management of the Registry.

SCPT have already transferred the .CD Registry servers to the control of SCPT and they note they are close to finishing the configuration of the new web interface for customers to manage their .CD domains.

For registrants, SCPT will send login credentials as soon as they’re ready. In this transition, SCPT note no domain names will be suspended, even if they reach their expiry date.

SCPT also ask for registrants to ignore messages from CONIC, Webnet Africa and Mikuba (who are all part of the same company) as their database was disconnected from the .CD Registry on 10 August 2017.
