Slovak Internet Paywall Service Plans Expansion

Charging for some Internet content is tentatively proving a winning formula in Slovakia.After a successful launch earlier this spring, Piano Media, the company that operates the country’s unified paywall and online subscription system, is planning to roll out the system in other countries.

While the overall figure remains very small, it does show that even cost-sensitive people in the euro zone’s second poorest economy are willing to pay for content.
