A very nice six-figure sale, that of aus.com, topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 14 August, selling for $345,000. The sale had nothing to do with Australia, but was sold to Allied Universal Services in the US.
The second biggest sale for the week was probably more notable though, that of co.ltd, another new gTLD sale, selling for $115,000 by the registry Donuts themselves. Coming in third was mamma.com for $72,999 through Sedo.
Sedo had a hand in ten of the top 20 sales for the week and Flippa four. While on the TLD side of things there were 15 .com sales and one each for .ltd, .tv, .org, .io and .biz.
