Shorter Domains Dominate Top Sales In Week Of No Six-Figure Sales

Domain Name Journal logoSix of the top ten reported sales in the Domain Name Journal chart were of five characters or less, and five of these were .com domains, in a week where no sales topped the $100,000 mark.

The top sale for the week ending 22 May was acure.com, selling for $65,000 in a private sale while ffg.com came in second, selling for $60,000 through Sedo while nwt.com came in third selling for $40,000 through ErwanKina.

Overall 18 of the top 21 domains (a tie for 20th) sold through Sedo in a particularly dominant week for the company. On the TLD side of things there were 12 .com sales, four for .de, two each for .co and .ch and one for .net.
