Short .COM Domains Dominate Top Weekly Sales

Domain Name Journal logoTwo and three letter domains filled 11 of the top 12 sales in the week to 4 October according to the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales for the week ending 4 October.

Two six figure sales topped the chart – gj.com which sold for $694,095 through NameJet and qjs.com for $150,000 through MostWantedDomains.

Coming in third was cxl.com, sold for $65,000 through KuwaitNET.net while passiton.com ($64,000) and wqb.com ($56,000) made up five sales above $50,000 for the week.

There were 19 .com sales in the top 22 sales – there was a three-way tie for 20th place. The other three were a .net sale and two .de sales.

On the aftermarket side of things there were eight sales through Sedo and seven through NameJet.
