There were 24 short (4 characters or less) .com domains on the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales, this âweekâ covering the fortnight to 12 June. The top selling domain was 281.com, sold for $201,100 through NameJet.
Coming in second and third were 6464.com, selling for $65,358 through SnapNames and pug.com, selling for $61,000 through NameJet.
Overall 33 of the top 40 sales were .com domains, two for .net and one each for .de, .re (sto.re), .at, .co.uk and .com.mx.
On the aftermarket side of things, there were 18 sales through NameJet, ten through Sedo and three through DomainsNext.
