John Battelle, Peter Hillary and Frank Schilling Headline Presentations
DomainSponsorââ¢, the domain monetization business of Oversee.net, today announced that the conference agenda for the second annual DOMAINfest Global, taking place January 21-23, 2008 in Hollywood, CA, has been finalized. The agenda is available on the eventââ¬â¢s web site at domainfest.com/agenda.php?hw08.
The agenda has been designed based on feedback received from past DOMAINfest attendees. Because the conference draws a broad base of attendees with different experience levels, sessions have been categorized by industry experience levels: beginner/intermediate, experienced, and general. A track for experienced domain industry professionals covers subject matter ranging from Aftermarket and Appraisals to Maximizing Revenue from Local Advertisers. Beginning and intermediate-level domainer sessions focus on sessions that include a Domain Industry Bootcamp and Branding for Gold, Balancing Hype and Reality.
A number of general interest sessions will bring all attendees together to discuss top-level issues relevant to the industry as a whole such as Domain Names and the Law: Whatââ¬â¢s at Stake and Understanding the Big Picture, which focuses on macro-level online trends and how they will impact domain name values over time.
There will also be continuing education sessions focused on building professional skills and advancing business practices. These include Negotiating to Win and Financial Planning for Business Success. Additionally, attendees will have both casual and structured networking opportunities.
John Battelle, an Internet visionary, bestselling author and CEO of Federated Media, and Peter Hillary, an experienced mountain climber and adventurer as well as motivational speaker, will headline the event. Domain investor Frank Schilling will hold the first Domainer Town Hall Meeting and discuss the state of the industry and answer participants’ questions.
DOMAINFest Global will also have its legendary party and entertainment as well as other VIP amenities.
In commenting on the conference, Lawrence Ng, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Oversee.net said, ââ¬ÅWe are pleased with the outpouring of support that we have received from our sponsors, our colleagues, and our clients. The agenda has a richness and depth to it that will make this conference one of the best in the industry. This event appeals to every level of domainer as well as industry professionals who want to learn more about this growing sector. Together, we are building credibility and respect for our industry.ââ¬Â
In addition, two SnapNames Liveâ⢠auctions are scheduled for DOMAINfest Global. This will mark the debut of SnapNames Liveââ¢, a live auction system for premium domains recently announced by SnapNames. The auctions promise a collection of exceptionally valuable names. Having completed nearly one million aftermarket transactions, SnapNames is uniquely qualified to manage the sale and delivery of premium domain names. The SnapNames Live auction catalog will be released on January 3, 2008. To sign up to participate in the auctions, visit www.snapnames.com/live.
