.SE logoOn December 16, .SE releases reserved geographic domain names.

When .SE began applying the new and more liberal rules for domain registrations in 2003, the board of directors decided to put a bar on certain geographical names for a period of five years. Thereafter, the board of directors would re-evaluate the decision. In May 2008, .SE’s board of directors decided to cancel the bar on the approximately 4 000 .se domain names.
