They once appeared in letterboxes in colourful envelopes promising millions, but scams are becoming increasingly difficult to spot as they trickle into the mobile phones, email accounts and personal lives of Australians.A report published by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) found scams hit the hip pockets of Australians to the tune of almost $90 million in 2013.ACCC deputy chairwoman Delia Rickard says the figure is only a snapshot of the losses affecting Australians.
