Samsung Electronics Co. will go to court on August 25 to appeal an earlier decision banning the South Korean technology giant from selling its Galaxy tablet computer in most of the European Union, in what has become a global battle amongst technology companies for intellectual property rights.The regional court of Düsseldorf earlier this month issued a preliminary injunction, made at the request of Apple Inc., barring Samsung from distributing its Galaxy Tab 10.1 touchscreen tablet throughout most of Europe, except the Netherlands.
