A Brazilian domain name (com.br) was the weekâs largest reported domain names sale in the week to April 18. Imoveis.com.br (real estate in Portuguese) sold for $300,000 making it the second largest ccTLD sale of 2010 to date, being beaten only by credit.fr that sold for $851,875, according to Domain Name Journal.
The private sale reinforced the high value of real estate-related domain names among ccTLDs and gTLDs with sales regularly among the largest as they happen.
There were no other six-figure sales for the week with the second largest sale being giften.com, selling for $94,000.
As usual Sedo dominated the top sales with 15 of the top 20 sales for the week. There were also six ccTLD sales among the top 20.
