Quiet Week For Domain Sales Allows ccTLDs To Take Top Spots

Domain Name Journal logoSales of ccTLD domain names took out the top two positions in Domain Name Journal’s list of top reported sales for the week ending 10 March in a week where the top sale was a relatively low €35,000 ($45,500) for, which was sold through Sedo.

Second place went to, selling for $30,000 through MostWantedDomains while was the top selling .com domain coming in third, selling for €19,000 ($24,700) through Sedo.

Overall there were nine ccTLD sales in the week including two .de sales and one each for .tv, .eu, .ru, .es,, .ca and .co while the remaining 11 sales were .com domains.

And the sales were relatively low for top selling domains, but Sedo was dominant, accounting for 12 of the top 20 sales with Afternic the next most successful with three sales.
