2013 started off slowly as expected when it comes to domain name sales, with the top sale of the week ending 6 January being for ngames.com, which sold for a reasonable $50,000. The sale was part of a treble for DomainNameSales which took out the top three places on the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales.
Second for the week was temt.com, which sold for $45,000, while bizy.com took out third place, selling for $40,500.
Overall DomainNameSales was responsible for five sales in the top 22 (with a three-way tie for 20th position). Sedo was responsible for ten sales while Afternic was responsible for another five sales.
There were 15 .com sales in the top 22, while there were one each for .nl, .de, .cn, .co.uk, .ca, .com.au and .ä¸å½.
