Pentagon Can Not Win a Cyberwar Claims Author

The United States has remained the world’s only global superpower since the collapse of the Soviet Union, but as the threat transitions away from being exclusively what the military likes to call “kinetic” war to include cyberwarfare, its ability to transfer its superiority into the new battlespace is being called into doubt.In a gloomy, and at times clouded, essay in The Diplomat, Jeffrey Carr author of Inside Cyber Warfare: Mapping the Cyber Underworld, says that the U.S. will lose a cyberwar because the Pentagon fundamentally misunderstands the nature of the internet.
