Oversee.Net Appoints New Staff, Board Members

oversee.net logoOversee.net has announced a number of new appointments including a new Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Elizabeth Murray, as well as Allen Morgan, Venture Partner at Mayfield Fund, and Scott Jarus, CEO of Cognition Technologies, Inc., as company directors.

In their announcement, the company said Ms Murray will report directly to company President Jeff Kupietzky.

“Oversee is aggressively expanding its leadership position in the domain name marketplace, the digital real estate market of the Internet,” Kupietzky said. “Liz, Allen and Scott collectively have deep expertise with both public and private technology-based companies. All three are extremely valuable additions to the organization, and Oversee welcomes their breadth of experience.”

Murray brings tech- and Internet-focused experience

Elizabeth Murray has more than 25 years of experience in financial management, strategic investment and M&A activity, with particular focus on technology and Internet companies. Before joining Oversee, she was Executive Vice President and CFO of Fluid Music Canada, Inc., the world’s largest private label music aggregation and distribution company. She also was CFO for RazorGator Interactive Group, Digital Insight Corp., and KornFerry International. Murray played key roles in the public offerings for Fluid Music and KornFerry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Robert Gordon University in Scotland and is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Murray replaces Stacey M. Peterson, who has resigned to pursue o the r professional opportunities. “Stacey has been instrumental in building a solid financial foundation for Oversee,” Kupietzky said. “I’d like to thank Stacey for her considerable contributions to the company.”

Morgan and Jarus understand rapidly developing markets and technologies

For the past ten years, Allen Morgan has been a Managing Director, and is now a Venture Partner, at Mayfield Fund. He has spent almost 30 years counseling entrepreneurs and has closed more than 750 venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings. Prior to Mayfield, Morgan was a partner at two Silicon Valley law firms, Latham & Watkins and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He serves on the boards of directors of BlackArrow, DECA, Electric Cloud, Jobster, Slide, Snap Technologies, Tagged, Perfect Market and Zenprise. He holds an undergraduate degree (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Dartmouth College , a second bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Oxford University (Christ Church) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia .

Scott Jarus is CEO of Cognition Technologies, Inc., an advanced Semantic Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology company. Prior to Cognition, he was chief executive of j2 Global Communications, Inc., widely known for its product, eFax™. During his tenure, j2 achieved 15 consecutive quarters of revenue growth, 13 consecutive quarters of positive and growing earnings, and a market cap of $1 billion.

Jarus also served as President and COO of OnSite Access, and has held senior management positions at RCN Telecom, Multimedia Medical Systems, and Metromedia Communications. He serves on the boards of directors of Cognition Technologies, Global Conference Partners (FreeConference.com) and Ironclad Performance Wear (ICPW.OB), where he is Executive Chairman. Jarus earned his bachelor’s and master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Kansas.
