One Laptop per Child targets East Africa

The group behind the “$100 laptop” has signed a deal which it hopes will deliver low cost computers to every primary school child in East Africa.The partnership between One Laptop per Child (OLPC) and the East African Community (EAC) aims to deliver 30 million laptops in the region by 2015.The EAC does not currently have the money to pay for the machines and so is hoping to find other partners.
