After a few weeks when the northern summer holidays has seen the usual quiet period when it comes to big domain name sales, in the week ending 20 August there was one beauty â that of omf.com â selling for $100,000 in a private sale to top the Domain Name Journal chart of weekly sales for the week ending 20 August.
But it was a long way to number 2, with ipb.com coming in next, selling for $36,000 through Sedo while northlife.com came in third in a $32,500 sale through DomainMarket.
On the TLD side of things there were 13 .com sales with 2 for .de and one each for .co.uk, .market, .net, .in and .global. Sedo was responsible for 11 sales while DomainMarket had 3.
