No-TV households not catching up online, UK report finds

For decades, parents have been worrying about their children’s square eyes as they tune in to more and more television.But the next generation could see a swing in the opposite direction, a report has suggested, as it finds households are starting to switch off from the small screen entirely.More British homes are choosing to go without television as young people turn their backs on sitting in front of the small screen, according to a study by ratings company Barb.Those who do, they added, are not replacing the traditional box with online streaming services, generally also using less broadband and eschewing subscription services.
