A war of words has broken out between News Corporation and Google.

A war of words has broken out between News Corporation and Google.In a letter to the departing European antitrust chief Joaquín Almunia, News Corp., whose publications include The Wall Street Journal and the British tabloid newspaper The Sun, accused the search giant of being a platform for piracy that also suppressed Internet competition.

The chief executive of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp has written to the European commission calling Google a “platform for piracy” and demanding action.In the strongly worded letter to competition commissioner Joaquín Almunia, News Corp’s Robert Thomson calls Google a “platform for piracy and the spread of malicious networks” whose power “increases with each passing day”.
