Newcomer Domain Guardians Has Top Weekly Sale

Domain Name Journal logoDomain Guardians, a newcomer to the domain name aftermarket field even if the personnel behind the company are not, managed to have the top reported sale in the week to 7 August according to Domain Name Journal’s list.

The domain,, went for a cool $150,000 and easily eclipsed the number two sale of the week, and, both of which went for $50,000 through Sedo.

According to Domain Name Journal, Domain Guardians comprises former executives, Mike Robertson and Jen Sale, and three domain industry veterans – Adam Strong, Paul Keating and Bill Vanderent. Together they have launched a new domain services company whose main line of business is providing estate planning and management services to domain professionals but obviously they can handle the domain name aftermarket as well.

Even though it missed out the number one sale of the week, Sedo had a very dominant week in the top 20 sales list, accounting for 17 of the sales while .COM domains accounted for 14 sales. CcTLD sales accounted for four of the top 20.
