Moniker logoDomain name owners can now submit up to 250 of their very best domains for the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Silicon Valley in April 2009. However no typos, trademarks, hyphenated or crude adult names will be accepted for the TRAFFIC Silicon Valley auction to be held in Santa Clara, California.

Moniker are advising that one and two word domains are always the most attractive to buyers, such as:

  • a popular commerce and/or search engine vertical (e.g. travel, debt relief, jobs, music)
  • easy to remember and spell word(s) or phrase (e.g. meaningful when spoken together; such as, GoForIt.com NOT ForItGo.com)

Moniker suggest setting the reserve price low to attract buyers’ attention and drive market excitement:

  • the reserve price is not a “Buy It Now” price; good domains with a reserve under $1,000 are almost guaranteed to make the auction catalogue.
  • good names priced at “No Reserve” perform the best at auctions and drive the most competition and interest.

Moniker also advise that domains with traffic and revenue performance data do well in auctions. Data must be accurate and from a reliable and verifiable source (e.g. DomainSponsor).

Deadline for submissions is March 27 through Moniker’s website submission form at:
