There was only one reported six-figure sale completed in the week to 10 July according to Domain Name Journal in their weekly sales chart, with minus.com selling for $115,000 in a private sale. According to the report, domain investor Brian Wick sold the domain to a maths education business with a presence in both the US and Japan.
Equal second for the week were two $50,000 sales, that of minsk.com and trippy.com.
Overall 16 of the 21 sales (there was a tie for 20th place) were sold through Sedo, a very dominant week for the largest domain name marketplace, while nine sales on the list were .COM sales.
It was a good week for ccTLD sales, accounting for ten of the top 21, with rh.de the top ccTLD sale, going for â¬13,900 ($19,738) followed by flo.at that sold for $16,500. There was also one .ASIA sale and one .MOBI sale.
