Microsoft gets cold feet on $42bn Yahoo! bid

Microsoft is seriously reconsidering its US$42bn (£21bn) bid for Yahoo! in light of the search engine’s continued rejection of its takeover offer.The software giant, which launched its unsolicited $31-a-share bid two months ago, is believed to be concerned about the value of Yahoo! following what Microsoft believes are worsening market conditions in the online search market.
