There is currently an announcement on the Sedo page providing information on the auction of iran.com stating “This auction has been cancelled. If you are interested in making an offer on this domain, please click here.”
The auction was apparently cancelled on January 4 at 11:15 PM CET. To my knowledge bidding reached US$735,000 with one bid and there were no more bids.
Information about iran.com note it is a heavy traffic domain getting 2000-5000 unique visitors per day depending on if Iran is in the news and an average of 40,221 unique visitors per month.
