Iran bans Instagram and Telegram, threatens crackdown against protesters as anger grows over economy, corruption

Iran has blocked access to Instagram and popular messaging app Telegram as anti-government protests continue across the country.

Tens of thousands of Iranians have demonstrated across the country since Thursday, protesting against the Islamic Republic's unelected clerical elite and Iranian foreign policy in the region.
