Indonesian Govt Pledges to Address Inequality in internet Access

Addressing criticism that parts of the nation were being left behind by a growing information technology gap, the government on Wednesday vowed to provide cheaper and more widespread Internet access.Speaking at a discussion about access to information, Gatot Dewa Broto, a spokesman for the Communications and Information Technology Ministry, said the agency continued its efforts to develop telecommunications networks as part of the universal service obligation program to provide greater access to information nationwide.
