Indian rural-urban digital divide widens

The gap between rural and urban India is widening as far as teledensity is concerned. When telecom boom started rural India had a teledensity of just four per cent compared to urban India’s 20 per cent.Over the years rural teledensity doubled to eight per cent but the urban figure shot up to 60 per cent, and in the metros more than quadrupled to 90 per cent.
