Hollywood’s landmark copyright battle against Perth internet provider iiNet will resume in the Federal Court on August 2.The full bench of the Federal Court will over four days hear an appeal against Justice Denis Cowdroy’s ruling in favour of iiNet last February.

Dates for the Australian Federation against Copyright Theft (AFACT) appeal of the iiNet verdict have been set for 2-5 August, with Justices Emmett, Jagot and Nicholas set to preside.The appeal’s hearing was allocated to the August sittings by Justice Emmett in April, but specific dates were yet to be announced.
