The next round of applications for new gTLDs is coming… one year not too far away! Planning and preparation are being done by the ICANN community. But plenty still needs to be done. To give those interested in applying the lowdown, the Internet Commerce Association is holding what they’re describing as an “intelligence briefing” with four industry experts on 4 August.
The four new gTLD experts are Jeff Neuman, Jothan Frakes and Phil Buckingham with Christa Taylor, hosting. The ICA says their panel of seasoned veterans will share their experiences and knowledge, allowing potential applicants “to gain actionable intelligence and guidance on the next application round including an examination of material changes, expected timing and operations within the broader ecosystem [to] help participants determining whether to pursue a new gTLD for their new entrepreneurial venture, global brand or growing business.”
The seminar will be held on 4 August at 13:00 Eastern U.S. time. For more information and registration, go to the ICA announcement here.
