Huge Two-Character .COM Sale Tops 4-Weekly Sales Chart

Domain Name Journal logoMm.com easily topped the weekly Domain Name Journal chart for the four week period to 29 June, selling for $1.2 million through Sedo to become the sixth biggest reported sale for the year to date. The biggest sale was mi.com, which sold for $3.6 million, back in April.

Coming in second in another great sale, but dwarfed by the top sale, was meh.com, sold in a private sale for $100,000 followed by mi.co.id, also through Sedo.

There was also a sale of a new gTLD domain coming in fourth with luxury.estate selling for $50,000 through DomainHoldings.

There were 14 .com sales on the chart, with three .de sales and one each for .co.id, .estate and .club.

On the aftermarket outlets, there were 15 Sedo sales, but Go Daddy/Afternic were unable to report their sales due to “quiet period” regulations surrounding their IPO.
