A distributed denial-of-service attack turned dark at least several thousand Web sites hosted by GoDaddy.com Wednesday morning, reports CNET. The outage was intermittent over several hours Nick Fuller, GoDaddy.com communications manager, told the news service.
According to the report, neither DNS services nor email were interrupted.
The full extent of the outage was unclear as Go Daddy were not saying anything more than a very small percentage of websites were unreachable due to security reasons.
