Global mobile ad spending to jump 62% this year

Spending on mobile internet advertising in Australia will jump by two-thirds in 2012 as the sector expands worldwide, according to US research firm eMarketer.A study by the company says Australian mobile ad spending is expected to rise from $US44 million ($42 million) in 2011 to $US72.8 million this year. That figure will soar to $US186 million by 2016, according to eMarketer’s forecasts.
