German domain top weekly seller

Domain Name Journal logoTop reported domain name sale of the week (8-14 September) goes to a .de domain name for (“search engine optimisation”) according to Ron Jackson’s Domain Name Journal. The domain was sold by Sedo and went for €84,000 (around US$114,000 today).

Other notable sales for the week were ($75,000 in a private sale) and another .de domain,, coming in third selling for €22,500 and again sold by Sedo.

Only half the top ten sales were .com domains in this week with the other three being a .org ( – $30,000), (€21,000) and ($20,000).

In the top 20 there were two .uk domains and one .be domain. In all, there were 23 five-figure (US$) sales.
