FTC Taking ‘Close Look’ At Google Wi-Fi Incident

FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz says his agency is taking a “very, very close look” at Google’s recent admission that it had been collecting more Wi-Fi data as part of its Street View service than it previously disclosed.During a Thursday afternoon hearing before the Senate Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee on the FTC’s budget, Leibowitz was asked about the Google Wi-Fi controversy by ranking member Susan Collins, R-Maine.
