BRS Media announced Tuesday that dotFM, the .FM Top-Level Domain Registry, has extended Emoji-based domain names to include over 120 new emoji characters. DotFM launched the first of their Emoji-based domain names in 2018.
“dotFM is excited to be one of only a few prime TLDs to support emoji-based domain names and thrilled to announce this addition,” remarked George T. Bundy, Chairman & CEO of BRS Media, Inc. “With adoption continuing to climb, Emoji Branding is the next frontier in Creative Digital Marketing, and we look forward to the originality of dotFM clients in benefiting from this expansion.”
dotFM pioneered the ‘Industry Specific’ domain space over 25 years ago and the .FM Top-Level Domain continues to be at the forefront of innovative technology, with this expansion of Emoji based Domain Names. Emoji Domain Names are now available based on Unicode Consortium Emoji Version 13.0 standards using single code point, and allowing a mix of letters and emoji characters under the top-level .FM, as well as the dotRadio extensions, .RADIO.fm and .RADIO.am. The list of currently available single emoji domains is at https://get.fm/singleemoji.
