It was a big week for domain name sales with five sales topping the $100,000 mark according to the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 28 February. The top sale was tp.com, which sold for a massive $929,000 through NameJet.
Coming in second was clash.com, selling for $250,000 in a private sale, and then lawn.com which sold for $240,000 through RightOfTheDot/NameJet.
The other two sale to make six-figures were totalcare.com and youi.com which sold for $120,000 and $100,000 respectively in private sales.
There were 16 .com sales with four characters or less out of 18 .com sales plus one each for .gl and .net. In the aftermarket outlets, for the first time I have been looking at the chart there were no sales through Sedo. NameJet had a hand in 13 sales, five of which were in conjunction with RightOfTheDot. There were also three sales through Flippa.
